As my children get older, I realize the lasting impact of family traditions. My mind comes back regularly to sleepy Saturday mornings and walking a few blocks from my childhood home to visit the local French bakery. Immediately struck by the scents of freshly baked treats my mother and I would pick up a croissant, or maybe a baguette and a coffee. Flakey, buttery, spread with jams and preserves, I savored these moments of simple joy wrapped in a craft paper to-go bag. This mead transports me to those times. With notes of blackberry preserves, soft flakey croissant, and a lingering memory from long ago, we hope this mead is enjoyed in the name of tradition.
Drinking Instructions: Store upright and chill for 3 hours before drinking. Bottle contains natural sediment at the bottom. Drink in a wine or tulip glass.
