If you take the long drive from coastal California up into the Sierra Foothills, the change in biome outside the window is obvious. On our first visit to the property that would become our farm, however, the change in aroma was equally striking. Hot sun, dry breezes over tall dry grass, sagebrush, cottonwood, blue oaks, and hints of distant smoke, all blended together to become an aromatic hallmark of what would soon be our new home.
This mead is a love letter to this place. Honey from our local beekeeper and herbs you can only find here during late summer and early fall.
Ingredients: Honey, Water, Oak, Sage
